Isaac’s father is a retired soldier and his mother is from the Congo. Due to the nature of his father’s job Isaac lived with his mother until her return to the Congo in 2006 when his parents divorced. Isaac stayed with a neighbor until his new step mother took him in. She mistreated him badly giving him a lot of work beyond his age ability, denying him food, clothing and medical care and constantly beating him up. This forced Isaac to wander to different people’s homes looking for food, which was not successful. In 2015 Isaac left his village by sneaking into a food truck. He arrived in Lira, fighting for survival. He lived for two years on the street before being rescued by Saving Grace in 2017.
Isaac is a bright boy who loves school. You can often find him playing games with the other children including tag, soccer and cards. He also loves drumming in his free time and also plays during evening worship times at the village.
