Tonny's life on the streets began when he lost both of his parents to AIDS. Although he was just five years old, all of Tonny's relatives rejected him. For seven years Tonny endured immense trauma and abuse as he struggled to survive on the streets.
When Saving Grace in Uganda began, Uncle Fred was able take him in as one of the first boys in the program. Since being rescued from street life, Tonny has experienced complete life transformation. Tonny is now a healthy young man. He is a role model to everyone involved with Saving Grace. He helps Uncle Fred with all aspects of running the children's village and is especially involved in Saturday street kid feedings. He loves cars and is currently going to school to become a certified mechanic.
