fred's STORY:

In 2008 Fred's parents divorced when he was a toddler and as a result the completely rejected him. He was abandoned and forced to live on the streets at age 5. On the streets of Lira he was repeatedly sexually abused by other street boys and contracted a serious case of malaria.

After two years of street life Fred was rescued by Saving Grace and the organization has been vital in his recovery process. He now has a quick smile and contagious giggle. Called by "Sundi" by his friends and "Little Fred" (due to his resemblance to Uncle Fred) by the Saving Grace staff, he enjoys singing, praying and playing soccer and volleyball. Fred has a kind spirit and is always there to welcome people into the village. He makes friends easily and has a joy that is contagious. He dreams of being a pilot one day.
