morris' STORY:

When Morris was just three years old, he lost both of his parents to AIDS. His grandmother then cared for him until she died three years later. This left him to live on the streets, beginning when he was only six years old. For almost five years, Morris endured abuse and torture on the streets, which left him with hearing loss and other physical injuries. Uncle Fred found Morris and was able to bring him to live at Uncle Fred's House as one of the first boys taken in by Saving Grace in Uganda.

Aside from some hearing challenges that remain, Morris has fully regained his health during his time at Saving Grace and is now an accomplished young man who excels in many areas. He is an exceptional leader and is able to help the village run smoothly. Uncle Fred has often said that as long as Morris is at the children's village, he doesn't need to worry about anything that is happening there. Morris is honest, mature and a role model for everyone in the village and is oversees all of the farming that happens at Saving Grace. Morris is attending nursing school and hopes to one day use that skill to help others.
