Mentoring a Child

SGU’s Primary School is bringing back a program that has long been lost in the public schools.  Our school’s headmaster Emmanuel has implemented a mentoring program that the community parents are really excited about. Each teacher is given a handful of children to mentor through the school year.  A classroom teacher offers wise counsel to the children and meets with parents to better understand the family structure that each child comes from.  Fred stated “The program goes beyond school activities, it involves seeing a child brought up in all aspect of life from spiritual, economical, physical and social.”  It is meant to inspire and come alongside of the parents to help facilitate a happy and healthy student.
