lillian'S STORY:

Lillian's father died of AIDS and her mother worked as a housemother at the Saving Grace Village before falling deathly ill with HIV. Without the ability to work, she had no way to pay for Lillian to go to school and nowhere for her to live. Saving Grace openly accepted Lillian to stay at the village and attend school.

Although Lillian never lived on the streets, Saving Grace Children's Village has become her home just like all of the other children. She has become an integral part of the SGU community, serving as a leader in many different ways. You can find Lillian laughing, running and playing pranks at the village. She is a natural leader and the girls often follow whatever example she gives. In school, Lillian is drawn to English and mathematics and is on her way to fulfilling her dream of working as an accountant.
